Debra was born in Hollywood, CA and moved to Maui, HI in 1996 and Honolulu in 2013. This vegan tattooed body piercer became a surfer at 33 and picked up a camera at 45. She is self-taught and her life experience shows in her work. While technical perfection is nice it is not the priority, evoking an emotional response is. The items, scenes and narratives here are organic, not staged. Most are happy discoveries, some have been treasure hunts, most have a story to be told.
